At Car Recovery Solihull, we do things properly and keep everything transparent, because we believe in honesty and building trust.

Please read carefully before booking. Once a deposit is received, you are deemed to have accepted the terms below.

 

General Disclaimer

 

Accurate Job Information: Please provide accurate details, photos, and videos when requesting a quote. If the location, vehicle condition, or other key details are incorrect or incomplete, additional charges will apply to cover extra mileage, time, or specialist equipment needed.

 

Fluid Leaks: Vehicles leaking oil, coolant, or other fluids will incur a cleaning fee of £50–£70, as our recovery truck must be cleaned before the next job.

 

Payment Terms & Deposits: Deposits are non refundable, the remaining balance must be paid in full before the vehicle is unloaded.

  • Vehicles will not be released or offloaded until full payment has been received.
  • Bank transfer or cash is the preferred method.
  • If payment over £50 is made via a payment link, an additional 4.5% charge of the total amount (minimum £5) will apply.


Pets, Passengers & Vehicle Cleanliness


  • If any pets or animals are travelling with you, our preferred option is for them to remain in the disabled vehicle wherever it is safe and practical to do so.
  • If a pet cannot remain in the disabled vehicle, transportation in the recovery vehicle is strictly at the driver’s discretion.
  • The driver reserves the right to refuse transportation of any pet or animal if they believe it may pose a safety risk, distraction, hygiene issue, or cause damage to the recovery vehicle.
  • Owners remain fully responsible for the care, control, and behaviour of their pets at all times during recovery and transportation.
  • Car Recovery Solihull accepts no liability for injury, loss, illness, escape, or death of any animal during the recovery process.
  • If a passenger or pet becomes unwell and vomits, soils, or otherwise contaminates the interior of any of our vehicles, a charge of £150 will apply to cover the cost of a professional deep interior valet and sanitisation.
  • This charge is necessary to ensure our vehicles remain clean, hygienic, and presentable for subsequent customers. All of our vehicles are maintained to a high standard and are presented in clean condition at the start of every job, and we reserve the right to recover any cleaning costs required to restore them to that standard.
  • Any additional costs arising from excessive cleaning, odour removal, damage, or loss of service resulting from contamination may also be charged where applicable.


Vehicle Condition & Liability


  • We rely solely on the information provided by the customer when quoting or booking. If the vehicle’s actual condition differs on arrival, additional charges may apply.
  • Our staff are fully trained with years of experience, and every effort will be made to load and unload your vehicle with great care. However, we accept no liability for the condition of the vehicle during loading or unloading, especially as most vehicles we recover are non-roadworthy, faulty, or damaged.
  • Each non-rolling, seized, or damaged wheel will incur a charge of £50 per wheel


Waiting Time Charges


Waiting time is charged at £100 per hour. The first 10 minutes at both collection and delivery points is free, but any additional time beyond that will be billed accordingly.


Insurance Recovery & Storage

 

If your vehicle has been involved in an accident and you are claiming through your own insurance or third-party insurance, we can deal directly with your insurer to save you time and hassle.

 

No upfront payment is required; we recover our costs directly from the insurance company.

 

  • Insurance recovery charges start from £500. Storage is charged from £65 per day for a car/4×4 and £85 per day for a van.

  • An admin fee of £85 applies. Additional charges may also apply based on vehicle condition and recovery circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Use of extra equipment

  • Winching

  • Environmental clean-up

  • Scene clean-up

  • Bed clean

  • Incident management

  • Redelivery is charged at £250 + £1.50 per loaded mile.

  • If the vehicle remains in our facility for more than four weeks without prior arrangement or payment, we reserve the right to dispose of or scrap the vehicle to recover outstanding costs.

 

We sub-contact some of the jobs that we cannot cover during busy periods. The sub contractors are liable for their own trade and liability insurances. Any claims related to a sub-contracted job will have to go through the sub-contractors, not us.
